Ravenscroft is a well-received holiday cottage in Windermere, praised for its spaciousness, comfortable accommodation, and well-equipped kitchen. Its location is ideal for exploring both Windermere and Bowness. Guests appreciate the property's warmth and the convenience of ensuite bathrooms. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests planning to return.

Most guests found Ravenscroft to be clean and tidy, with only a few mentioning issues with dust, dog hairs, and a need for a more thorough clean. The majority of comments reflect satisfaction with the property's cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for being conveniently situated between Windermere and Bowness, with easy access to local attractions and amenities. The proximity to both towns and the availability of walks nearby contribute to the high rating.

Guests consistently report that the beds are comfortable and the house is warm and cosy, even in colder months. Some guests mentioned issues with lounge heating and a preference for heavier curtains in bedrooms, but overall, the property is regarded as comfortable.

The property is celebrated for its well-equipped kitchen and spacious rooms. However, some guests noted maintenance issues such as leaks, non-working lights, and the need for minor updates. The absence of a tumble dryer and a BBQ were also noted.

While many reviews commend the facilities and equipment provided, there is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

We absolutely loved it, everything was neat, clean and tidy! It was perfect for our dogs too as we could let them out in the garden and the house was very spacious for them. The location was perfect and we were able to walk easily into the town for meals ect. There were just a few small problems we encountered which were that the hot water didn’t work on the last morning as we were leaving and that the parking spaces outside were a little confusing. Two of our party arrived on the Friday and parked in the designated spot for the house that was given on the instructions. However there was also a silver car parked up which they presumed was the neighbours. The rest of our family arrived on Saturday morning and parked in a fairly tight spot around the back of the house, this was fine until it was time to leave. We struggled to get the car back out but eventually got there in the end. The neighbours opposite the back of the house kindly helped us and told us that the silver car was actually parked in one of the designated spots for the house all along and we shouldn’t have squeezed our second car into the tight spot in the first place. As it was nearly impossible to get out and multiple people have knocked into his wall in the past. We absolutely loved the house and didn’t have anything to fault but maybe for other people a little car parking sign could be helpful! :) thank you again! X

Well equipped kitchen and outside table was really useful in good weather. Location between Windermere and Bowness was ideal. Towels and bedding were good. A warm, homely place to stay. It’s the first rental property that didn’t provide a welcome pack. No first aid box which would have been useful as the knives in the kitchen are very sharp! Toilet seat in main bedroom en-suite was loose . Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely 40th birthday celebration for my daughter. A bit of a shame about the neighbour and noise, but apart from that everything was great. Thank you
